Contractor List
Hiring a qualified contractor can make wildfire mitigation projects safer, more effective, and easier to complete, especially for larger jobs like tree removal or major home retrofits. This list includes local professionals providing services such as brush clearing, tree felling, chipping, grazing, landscaping, gutter/roof cleaning, and construction.
NOTE: This list does not constitute an endorsement or certification of any contractor. This list is provided solely as a public resource, and contractors have voluntarily submitted their information to be included. Users are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before hiring any contractor; see best practices below.
Request and check at least three references from past customers.
Make sure the contractor is fully insured and in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
Check on the contractor’s certifications. Is the
contractor a Certified Arborist, Certified Forester or Master Logger, etc.?
Get at least three written estimates from different contractors.
Put all details in writing before signing any written agreement or contract.
